BIOGRAPHY

"Dr. Oh received his D.D.S. in 1989 at Seoul National University in Korea and a Certificate and M.S. in Periodontics in 2001 at the University of Michigan. Dr. Oh has been a full-time faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry since 2001. Dr. Oh’s specialties are dental implants-related surgeries (implant surgery and advanced bone grafting procedures, etc.) and clinical periodontics. Dr. Oh has been heavily involved in clinical research projects related to dental implants and periodontics, and published more than 50 papers or book chapters in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Dr. Oh is Diplomate and Examiner of American Board of Periodontology and Diplomate of ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), serves on the Peer Review Panel of Journal of Periodontology and Editorial Board of Journal of Periodontal & Implant Science. In addition, Dr. Oh serves as a reviewer for a number of other scientific journals, which include Journal of Dental Research, International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants, Clinical Oral Implants Research, etc. Dr. Oh is the recipient of Bud & Linda Tarrson Award in 2007 by AAPF (American Board of Periodontology Foundation) and Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics Educator Award in 2007 by AAP (American Academy of Periodontology). Dr. Oh is Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, and Associate Chair in the Division of Periodontics, Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine. He was President of Midwest Society of Periodontology in 2017-2018. Dr. Oh enjoys golfing and music."
