Dr. McKenzie Maynor grew up in the Detroit metropolitan area and attended the University of Michigan for her undergraduate studies. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Ohio State University. After graduation, Dr. Maynor continued her training closer to home and completed a general practice residency at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Detroit.
Dr. Maynor volunteers her time by participating in health fairs and free clinics. In addition, she engages in education courses that hone and broaden her knowledge in many facets of dentistry. Dr. Maynor had the honor of being recognized as an Albert Schweitzer Fellow in 2014 for her dedication to empowering people to live healthier lives and create healthier communities. As a fellow, she created a year-long project aimed at addressing the lack of dental education amongst elementary school-aged children. In 2016, Dr. Maynor was awarded the International College of Dentists Student Humanitarian Award for her involvement and devotion to serving in her community. Dr. Maynor has a proven track record of committing to providing the highest quality of comprehensive dental care and prides herself in being personable while creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for her patients.
In her free time, Dr. Maynor enjoys spending time with family and friends, being an active member of her sorority, and traveling.
